Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 2026-08-05
Hereers is operated by Opligence LLC. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes the standards we hold ourselves to and what we do when such content or behaviour is reported to us.
What is prohibited
The following are prohibited on Hereers, and accounts responsible for them are removed:
-
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including any depiction of a minor in a sexualised manner
-
Sexualising a minor in text, including sexual descriptions, solicitation, or the offer or request of such material
-
Grooming, or any attempt to establish contact with a minor for sexual purposes
-
Sextortion, trafficking, or any other exploitation of a minor
Age requirement
Hereers is not intended for children. Users must be at least 13 years old, and older where local law sets a higher minimum age for using an online service of this kind.
Reporting inside the app
Every post can be reported. Open a post, use the menu in its top-right corner, and choose to report the post or its author. You can also block an author from the same menu, which immediately hides their posts from you. Reports reach our operator directly and do not require the reporter to identify themselves to the reported user.
You can also contact us from Settings using the inquiry form in the app.
How we respond
-
Reports are reviewed by our operator, who is notified as soon as a report arrives. We aim to act on child safety reports the same day they are received.
-
Content that violates the standards above is removed, and the account responsible is suspended or deleted.
-
Apparent CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where applicable, to the competent authorities in Japan, and we preserve the related records as required by law.
-
We cooperate with law enforcement requests that are lawful and properly served.
Compliance
We comply with child safety laws applicable to our service, including the Act on Regulation and Punishment of Activities Relating to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (Japan), and with the child safety policies of the app stores that distribute Hereers.
